Zzap-online in seven questions

What is Zzap-online infoportal?

The Zzap-online infoportal is a quadrilingual, digital media currently being set up for everything related to culture and leisure activities in the Meuse-Rhine Euregion. Amongst other things, the web portal offers a website guide. The Web guide consists of about 150 categories related to a particular topic, for example Visual Art, Museums or Wellness. Companies, organisations, associations, people and events can present themselves internationally within this Web guide by means of their own web page in the three languages of the Meuse-Rhine Euregion and in English.

Who can create a Web guide page?

Everyone actively involved in art, cultural activities or media, or who is part of the creative industry or leisure, restaurant/bar/catering and tourism sectors, including shops within these sectors, can register to be listed on this Euregional search engine by clicking on the button “Create page Web guide”. Next, the party concerned can log in with the applied code and create its own page in the web portal — an advertorial page, a photo page or a video page — and manage this page themselves. Activities can be entered in the calendar.

View the list with clubs on the registration form and select the category that best matches your profile or your business’s profile. The Zzap editorial staff will assess every application and, on the basis of your activities, determine whether you or your website may be eligible to be listed in more than one club.

Are there any costs involved?

No, there are no costs involved. Everyone who is active in the abovementioned sectors can register free of charge and manage their own page.

What else does Zzap-online infoportal offer?

Above all, Zzap-online infoportal is a media site. Together with the Website guide, the web portal also offers Zzap Magazine, a quadrilingual, digital  journal. An international team of freelance journalists from three countries in the Euregion Meuse-Rhine will provide you with informative articles on art, culture, tourism and leisure. On the Zzap Magazine homepage you can subscribe to Zzap Magazine for free. As soon as a new article appears, you will be sent an e- mail with the link to the article.

Additional to Zzap Magazine there is Zzap TV (to which everyone can submit a video), a Musicbox full of great music videos, and the Zzap calendar, full of activities in the Meuse-Rhine Euregion. The features offered will gradually be extended.

What will Zzap-online infoportal achieve by this?

The Meuse-Rhine Euregion, one of the oldest cultural regions in Europe with its 3.9 million inhabitants, has an unparalleled cultural heritage. The national borders in place today conceal much of this from the general public. Zzap-online is keen to do something about this. The aim is to entice the region’s inhabitants to move about the Euregion; to make contact, to visit cultural events and to take part in activities. The platform also hopes to become the calling card for all those who want to visit the Meuse-Rhine Euregion or who are simply interested in the cultural heritage of this European melting pot.

How far does Zzap-online infoportal reach?

Inside Zzap-online infoportal everyone can exchange and collect information about  the Meuse-Rhine Euregion. The area around the Meuse-Rhine Euregion is also of interest to the region’s inhabitants. Information can be found in the web portal relating to the area extending roughly to Eindhoven to the north, Düsseldorf and Cologne to the east, and Namur, Brussels, and Antwerp to the south and west. Naturally, this information is worldwide accessible for everyone who understands French, Dutch, German or English.

Where can I buy the T-shirt?

Not long now! The next expansion of infoportal Zzap-online will be an international display for products by artists and the creative industry. The merchandise of Zzap-online will also be on sale there.
