About Zzap

Zzap-online.eu is a cross-border cross-media concept from Uitgeverij [EU]reka!, a young publishing company based in Heerlen. Zzap-online.eu combines a monthly magazine with a web portal for culture and leisure activities in the Meuse-Rhine Euregion.

Zzap Magazine

Zzap Magazine is a free, independent general-interest magazine with a total circulation of 90,000 copies. It is distributed every month throughout the Meuse-Rhine Euregion in three editions: a German edition, a Flemish/Dutch edition and a French edition. The monthly magazine is produced by freelance journalists from all three countries in the Meuse-Rhine Euregion, reporting on current developments centring around the topics of culture and leisure activities. The first edition of Zzap Magazine is due to be published in 2011.

Zzap-online.eu

The Zzap-online.eu web portal is a digital platform for everything related to culture and leisure activities in the Meuse-Rhine Euregion. In more than 100 clubs relating to a particular theme, for example Club Gallery, Club Museums or Club Wellness, companies, organisations and people present themselves in the three languages of the Meuse-Rhine Euregion, as well as in English.
Parties offering cultural and/or leisure activities do this by becoming a member of a particular club. That party is then given its own page on the digital platform to manage itself. In addition, that party is given access to the club calendar so as to be able to add unlimited information about current activities.
From 2010 such parties can join these clubs for free and the web portal will be open for visitors.  From 2011 commercial organisations pay 150 euros per year. For non-commercial organisations (such as clubs, foundations, non- profit organisations or persons, artists and events) the web portal stays free.
